Om Jonathan Weber
Jonathan is originally from the United States. He has been playing around with yoga for over 25 years, when he took his first 2 year training in Kripalu yoga.
His journey in yoga has taken him through many forms and schools, and he shares his broad wisdom and humor in teaching others now. He is certified in Mindful Hatha yoga and Therapeutic Mindfulness-Based yoga, reflecting his passion in understanding the mind-body connection, using modern research, and finding greater well-being.
In 1996, he became certified in EDGU, a blend of Kundalini yoga and martial arts to exercise and energize the spine. He lived for a year in Hawaii with the creator while learning this movement form. He has trained in both Yin yoga and Restorative yoga, which he loves to integrate into his teaching to balance out the more active postures and experience a deeper release of stress or tensions in the body and mind.
Jonathan has taken special interest in the mental training aspect of yoga, to learn how to calm and focus the mind, develop greater self-mastery, and find the freedom to make conscious choices in life. He began teaching meditation techniques to yoga students in Oslo when he arrived to Norway in 2006, where he was a teacher at Puro Yoga and Oslo Yoga studios. He is also an accomplised visual artist, having illustrated the “Pilates Teacher Training Manual” and “Energy Yoga Teachers Training Manual,” for Elixia, (2007).
Jonathan underviser på lettforståelig engelsk.
